There are many parks around the Louisville Metro Area!
Some of which, you must pay a membership fee, and this can be accessed through Louisville Dog Run Association.
NOTE: If you are interested in giving your dog a chance to run off-leash, please keep in mind that there is an ordinance prohibiting pets from being off-leash! In common areas such as Metro Parks (including Barringer Hill!). Owners can be cited for violating this ordinance.
-Off-leash dogs pose several hazards- namely to pedestrians and cyclists.
-Dogs running loose in children’s areas are extremely dangerous since a running child often triggers a dog’s prey instinct.
Please, please, please keep your dog on a leash, at the human park!
To let your dog off-leash, Metro Parks has opened several DOG Parks in the Louisville area.
Visit this link to learn where they are and how to join!
If you don’t want to be a member or pay fees, there are a few areas that are free to you and your fury friends.

*PLEASE REMEMBER to always bring extra grocery bags or doggy bags, and pick up after your pet.
We all need to do our part to ensure the health and well being of others and our lovely parks!
